Brazilian Culture
Niles Lang is an attorney specializing in Immigration Law. He is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese, serving the Brazilian community since 1991. Although born and raised in Omaha, NE to American parents, he is also fluent in Spanish and French. He has studied and travelled extensively throughout Brazil as well as the rest of both North and South America. He has taught his children to speak, read and write both Portuguese and French in addition to their mother tongue. Mr. Lang imports his intimate familiarity with Brazilian culture into his legal work. He was one of the first attorneys to secure Asylum for an abused woman prior to the codification of the Violence Against Women’s Act (“VAWA”).
Niles Lang has written weekly immigration columns for the Brazilian Voice, The Brazilians and The Brazilian Press. In addition, he has a weekly program on WSRO 650AM out of Framingham, MA. He has been nominated for one of the Brazilian Community’s Top Ten Rising Stars among businesses. Not only has Niles provide editorial commentary for these media, he has provided service to them or their employees, helping them secure their work permits or green cards. Niles’ primary office is located on Wall Street in New York. However, he frequently travels and meets with clients in Hartford, Danbury, Boston and Framingham. Niles has clients from all walks of life. Having performed backbreaking manual labor to help put himself through college, Niles appreciates the value of the labor of others. Niles has even legalized entire cleaning companies, as a result. Niles Lang secures the freedom of detained individuals both locally and remotely, from Miami to Buffalo, from New Hampshire to Louisiana and from New York to Indianapolis. He obtains the lowest bond possible where a bond has to be paid. He regularly succeeds in administratively reopening and then administratively closing long-adjudicated deportation and removal matters. He routinely secures the favorable exercise of Prosecutorial Discretion (PD) or Deferred Action for those whose Removal Order is Final…all to secure the future of the client within the United States.
